BROW LIFT
A brow lift, sometimes called a forehead lift, is a surgical procedure that rejuvenates the upper portion of the face. As we age, forehead wrinkles and sagging brows make us look older and more tired. A forehead lift reduces wrinkles, tightens skin, and lifts the eyebrows into a more youthful position.
Patients that undergo a brow lift at Concierge Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery are highly satisfied with their dramatic, long-lasting results. Dr. Epstein can successfully refresh a tired face, erase facial creases, and elevate your brows.
During your consultation, Dr. Epstein will go over the treatment options best suited for your circumstances and cosmetic goals. A brow lift is not a “one-size-fits-all” procedure. Dr. Epstein will customize your brow lift to meet your specific aesthetic goals, ensuring natural, beautiful results. He may suggest other procedures, like blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery,) rhytidectomy (a facelift), or other treatments that work in conjunction with your brow lift to optimize your results.

An eyebrow lift is a same day (outpatient) surgery. After arriving at one of our designated surgical centers, you will be placed under general anesthesia.
Browlifts are performed using one of two techniques, an open (coronal) brow lift or a closed (endoscopic) brow lift. A coronal browlift is the more traditional technique, and allows access to the brow by placing a single incision the length of the entire brow, behind the hairline. An endoscopic brow lift uses two or three smaller incisions placed behind the hairline to access the treatment area with a small camera and long-handled instruments. Although less invasive, it is still able to yield impressive results. After placing the incision, Dr. Epstein elevates and repositions the soft tissue of the brow. The brow is secured in place, excess tissue is trimmed, and the incision(s) are closed and dressings placed.
During your consultation, Dr. Epstein will discuss which method is best suited for your situation and aesthetic goals. Regardless of the technique utilized, brow lift scars are camouflaged by the hair.
A brow lift rejuvenates the upper section of the face and may:
Results are noticeable immediately and will increase over time, usually within a 6 month period. Incision lines and swelling will continue to improve over time, with scars taking on their final appearance at about 1 year after surgery. A forehead lift may make you appear younger, but it cannot stop the aging process indefinitely. While results are long-lasting, they will eventually fade with time. Individual experiences will vary.*
Your recovery depends on the scope of the procedure and the techniques employed during the surgery. Noticeable swelling and bruising may be present for about 14 days following surgery, and most patients return to work within a few weeks of their brow lift.
Most patients return to work within just 7-10 days after an endoscopic brow lift. Light activities like walking are okay to resume soon after anesthesia. However, heavy exercise and vigorous activity, such as running, heavy lifting, yoga, and cycling should be avoided for 2 weeks post-procedure. As always, individual experiences will vary.*
Brow lift cost varies per patient and multiple factors affect prices, including:

A brow lift elevates the brows but doesn’t touch eyelid skin. An upper eyelift (blepharoplasty) removes skin from the eyelids, but it doesn’t change the brow position or shape.
If your primary concern is excess skin or fat in the upper eyelid area, an upper eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) may be a better option. However, if your concerns include sagging eyebrows, deep forehead wrinkles, or a tired appearance on the upper face, then a brow lift may better address those issues.
BROW LIFT FAQS
Brow lift sutures are removed about five days after surgery.
An endoscopic brow lift is less invasive. This type of technique involves smaller incisions in the scalp and a thin tube with a camera is used to smooth wrinkles and lift the brows. An open coronal brow lift involves a longer incision across the scalp and is hidden beneath the hair. With this technique, the forehead skin is lifted, and excess tissue is removed.
An endoscopic brow lift has between three and five ½ inch long incisions behind the hairline.
Yes, a correctly performed brow lift can look very natural. An unnatural brow lift is when the brows appear startled or surprised and is usually the result of the brow being pulled too high, or the inner brow being raised too much. The outer brow must be positioned higher than the inner brow, and when it is not, the patient looks startled.
No, a brow lift will not change the shape of your eyes. A brow lift will improve your eyebrows and forehead and will not fix baggy eyelids.
The need and frequency for Botox injections is greatly reduced with a brow lift. However, this depends on the severity of wrinkles and varies for each patient.
The best candidates are individuals who have deep wrinkles on their forehead, between the eyes, or drooping, low eyebrows. Forehead wrinkles and sagging eyebrows tend to make people appear older and tired.
Yes, brow lifts can be done with other procedures, such as eye lifts, rhinoplasties, facelifts, and breast augmentation procedures.
